TIA Launches ToyInfo.org and ToyAwards.org

Online Cyber Monday shopping? Are you wondering what the top toys for 2009 are? Need more info to make an informed decision and choose the right toys for your family?

Just in time for the holidays, the Toy Industry Association (TIA) has launched a couple of helpful websites.

The first one is http://www.toyinfo.org/ and it provides consumers with tips needed to choose the right toys for the children on their gift giving list. It features toy safety facts, free downloadable play guides and recall information. It also has discussion boards. Coming soon is an upcoming episode of  “The Moms of Toy Safety”, which is a roundtable discussion among moms who are also toy industry safety professionals. Something I really like is that I can sign up for automatic recall alerts.

The other site is http://www.toyawards.org/ and it showcases the top toys nominated for the 2010 Toy of the Year Awards (TOTY). It showcases 82 toys that have been nominated for the prestigious awards. It also features a free, downloadable gift shopping list that can be taken to the store with you. You can also register for one (or more) of 11 prize packages. Consumers can also vote for their favorite toys.

I checked out both sites and they are a good resource, in my opinion. At ToyAwards.org, I like how I can find out what the toys of the year are for different age groups and genders. The play guides at ToyInfo.org are very handy.

For more information, go to http://www.toyawards.org/ and http://www.toyinfo.org/.

This information was provided to me by Team Mom, however no compensation or samples were received. The opinions are my own.
